If we make material changes, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., by email, in-product notice, or other means consistent with applicable law). Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

2) Information Collected Automatically

We and certain third parties use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar tracking technologies to collect:

Usage Data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, OS, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps, error logs, and interactions with emails.

Approximate Location: derived from IP address (e.g., country/region).

We use this data to provide and secure the Services, run analytics, balance load, detect abuse/fraud, and (where permitted/consented) personalize or measure marketing. See Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies below for choices.

3) Information From Third Parties

Vendors / Data Providers: We may receive pre-compiled datasets of public listing information from third-party data providers. BookYolo acts as a recipient and processor of datasets; providers are responsible for ensuring their datasets comply with law and third-party terms.

Analytics Providers (e.g., Google Analytics): aggregated metrics about site/app usage to improve performance and features.

AI Platforms, Connectors, and MCP Apps

BookYolo may be available through third-party AI clients, apps, connectors, or Model Context Protocol (“MCP”) integrations, including OpenAI ChatGPT and Anthropic Claude when a user chooses to connect BookYolo.

When you connect or use BookYolo through one of these third-party AI clients, BookYolo may collect and process the information needed to provide the service, including your email address, account plan, scan usage, listing URLs searched or scanned, scan requests, and related account or usage information.

BookYolo may use OAuth authorization to allow third-party AI clients to connect to your BookYolo account. The OAuth scopes used by BookYolo may include:

  • scan: to allow the connected client to search, submit, or retrieve stay scans on your behalf.

  • account: to allow the connected client to verify your account, plan, authentication status, and usage limits.

BookYolo uses this information to operate the connector, authenticate your account, apply plan limits, process listing searches and scans, return scan results, maintain security, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve service reliability. BookYolo does not require access to your full conversation history with the third-party AI client unless that information is specifically included in a request sent to BookYolo. Third-party AI clients may process your prompts, conversations, and account information under their own terms, privacy policies, and settings. BookYolo does not control how OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, or other third-party AI clients process data outside of the information sent to BookYolo.

BookYolo may retain connector-related account, scan, listing URL, and usage data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, resolve technical issues, and comply with legal obligations. You can disconnect BookYolo from the relevant third-party AI client through that client’s app, connector, or account settings where available. You may also delete your BookYolo account or contact BookYolo to request access, deletion, correction, or other privacy rights relating to personal information processed by BookYolo, subject to applicable law.

Additional Uses of Information

In addition to the purposes above, we use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, operate, and improve the Services and their security

  • Prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, abuse, security risks, and technical issues.

  • Conduct research and development (including quality evaluation and feature

testing).

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and policies.

  • Communicate service messages and (where permitted) marketing

communications.

  • Create de-identified or aggregated data for lawful business purposes (we will

not attempt to re-identify de-identified data).

We do not use any connected email/calendar content (if such connections are added in the future) to train or fine-tune AI models beyond what is necessary to provide those specific features, and we will apply any additional restrictions required by the relevant platform policies.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and will update the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., by email, in-product notice, or other means consistent with applicable law). Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

1) Information You Provide to Us

Service Interaction Information (Inputs/Outputs): URLs and details of accommodation listings you submit (e.g., short-term rentals, hotels, hostels, resorts), questions you type into the Services (which may include personal information depending on what you write) and the AI-generated outputs we return. These may include notes, tags, and any fields you enter.

Single Sign-On (SSO) (e.g., Google/Apple): limited profile data needed for account creation/login (e.g., name, email).

Marketing/Referral Partners: if you engage via a promotion/referral, we may receive limited info to validate eligibility.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

You can control cookies through your browser settings (e.g., block, delete, or limit third-party cookies). Blocking cookies may impact functionality. Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals; our Services do not respond to such signals at this time. Check our page: Cookie Policy
