This Privacy Policy describes how BOOKYOLO PTE. LTD. (“BookYolo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information about individuals who use our websites, mobile apps, tools, features and related services, or who otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”). For the purposes described herein, BookYolo is the data controller for personal data processed through the Services (unless stated otherwise).

By using the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and will update the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., by email, in-product notice, or other means consistent with applicable law). Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

1) Information You Provide to Us

Contact Information (e.g., name, email address; optional phone or postal address if you provide it): used to operate the Services; communicate with you (including product updates and marketing where permitted/consented); fulfill requests.

Account Information (e.g., name, email, password or SSO identifier): used to create and secure your account, authenticate you, and administer your settings.

Payment Information (e.g., card details and billing address, collected and processed by our payment processor such as Stripe): used to process purchases/subscriptions. We do not store full card numbers.

Service Interaction Information (Inputs/Outputs): URLs and details of accommodation listings you submit (e.g., short-term rentals, hotels, hostels, resorts), questions you type into the Services (which may include personal information depending on what you write) and the AI-generated outputs we return. These may include notes, tags, and any fields you enter. Used to provide the Services, improve quality, prevent abuse, and (where permitted) to develop and enhance features (e.g., model and product improvements).

Support/Communications: Information you include when contacting us (e.g., bug reports, screenshots) used to respond and improve support.

Recruiting/Applicant Information (if you apply for a role): CV/resume, work history, references—used to evaluate candidacy and manage recruiting.

2) Information Collected Automatically

We and certain third parties use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar tracking technologies to collect:

Usage Data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, OS, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps, error logs, and interactions with emails.

Approximate Location: derived from IP address (e.g., country/region).

We use this data to provide and secure the Services, run analytics, balance load, detect abuse/fraud, and (where permitted/consented) personalize or measure marketing. See Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies below for choices.

3) Information From Third Parties

Vendors / Data Providers: We may receive pre-compiled datasets of public listing information from third-party data providers. BookYolo acts as a recipient and processor of datasets; providers are responsible for ensuring their datasets comply with law and third-party terms.

Analytics Providers (e.g., Google Analytics): aggregated metrics about site/app usage to improve performance and features.

Single Sign-On (SSO) (e.g., Google/Apple): limited profile data needed for account creation/login (e.g., name, email).

Marketing/Referral Partners: if you engage via a promotion/referral, we may receive limited info to validate eligibility.

Additional Uses of Information

In addition to the purposes above, we use information to:

Provide, maintain, operate, and improve the Services and their security.

Prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, abuse, security risks, and technical issues.

Conduct research and development (including quality evaluation and feature testing).

Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and policies.

Communicate service messages and (where permitted) marketing communications.

Create de-identified or aggregated data for lawful business purposes (we will not attempt to re-identify de-identified data).

We do not use any connected email/calendar content (if such connections are added in the future) to train or fine-tune AI models beyond what is necessary to provide those specific features, and we will apply any additional restrictions required by relevant platform policies.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

You can control cookies through your browser settings (e.g., block, delete, or limit third-party cookies). Blocking cookies may impact functionality. Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals; our Services do not respond to such signals at this time.

How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information as follows:

Within BookYolo Group / Affiliates: for internal administration and to help provide the Services.

Service Providers / Sub-processors: cloud hosting (e.g., AWS/GCP), analytics, payments, customer support, communications, security, and other vendors who process data on our behalf under contract.

Third-Party Data Providers: where needed to validate or enrich listing information, subject to contractual terms.

Business Partners / Integrations: if you access the Services via a partner code or choose to link third-party services (e.g., SSO), we share the minimal data necessary to enable the integration.

Legal / Compliance: to comply with law, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or BookYolo.

Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets.

With Your Direction or Consent: if you ask us to share or make content visible to others.

We do not sell personal data as the term “sell” may be defined under certain privacy laws. We also do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising where such “sharing” is restricted by law, unless we clearly provide notice and relevant opt-out mechanisms.

Social Features and Third-Party Links

If you use social features (e.g., sharing an analysis), content you choose to make public may be visible to others and to the third-party platform. Our Services may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party privacy or security practices. Review their policies before providing information.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we learn that a child under the relevant age submitted personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents/guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us at privacy@bookyolo.com.

Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use secure channels and strong, unique passwords, and keep credentials confidential.

Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes (e.g., to comply with laws, resolve disputes, enforce agreements). Retention periods vary by data type and purpose. When no longer needed, we take steps to delete or de-identify data.

International Data Transfers & Hosting

As noted in our Terms, the Services run on third-party cloud infrastructure. Data may be processed and stored in the United States, the European Union, Singapore, and other jurisdictions. By using the Services, you acknowledge these cross-border transfers.

For transfers from the EEA/UK to countries lacking adequacy decisions, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as EU/UK Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures where required. You may contact us to request information about applicable transfer mechanisms.

We are not asserting participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework unless/until certified.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Your rights depend on your location and applicable law. Subject to exceptions and verification, you may have the right to:

Access / Know: receive confirmation and a copy of personal data we hold about you.

Delete / Erase: request deletion of your personal data.

Correct / Rectify: request correction of inaccurate personal data.

Portability: receive personal data in a portable format and/or request transfer to a third party.

Object / Restrict: object to or request restriction of certain processing.

Withdraw Consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time (this will not affect prior processing).

Marketing Choices: opt out of marketing emails by using unsubscribe links or contacting us.

To exercise rights, contact privacy@bookyolo.com. We will verify your request (e.g., via your account email and, where necessary, additional ID). You may designate an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising lawful rights.

Singapore (PDPA) Notes

Under Singapore’s PDPA, you may request access, correction, and withdrawal of consent. We process personal data for purposes notified herein and rely on consent or other PDPA bases (e.g., contractual necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations). Contact privacy@bookyolo.com to exercise PDPA rights.

EEA/UK (GDPR) Notes

Where GDPR applies, BookYolo relies on legal bases including contract, legitimate interests (e.g., to provide and improve Services, ensure security), consent (where required), and legal obligations. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., ICO in the UK or your EU Data Protection Authority).

U.S. State Privacy (e.g., CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident (or similar U.S. state law applies), you may have “know,” “delete,” “correct,” and “opt-out” rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise U.S. state rights, contact privacy@bookyolo.com.

Account Settings: manage some preferences directly in your account (where available).

Cookies/Analytics: manage cookies in your browser; use Google’s opt-out where applicable.

Marketing Emails: unsubscribe via email footer links or email us.

Account Deletion: request deletion via settings (if available) or by contacting privacy@bookyolo.com.

How We Evaluate Requests

We may request information to verify your identity and authority. If we deny a request (e.g., where an exception applies), we will explain why unless prohibited by law. If available under local law, you may appeal our decision by replying to our response or emailing privacy@bookyolo.com.
